I am proud to declare that my HR/IR consulting firm has had a very close relationship with ProBc (owners of the COGS system), for the past seven years. During this time, I have closely observed the development and growth of the COGS system.

Any consultant, who is involved with the management of employees, at multiple clients, will testify to the fact that proper record-keeping, is of the utmost importance. Every client’s internal HR system and capabilities differ, and in some cases, such is non-existent. This poses unique challenges to a consultant, as it becomes your responsibility to manage and accommodate these differences, whilst at the same time, ensuring legal compliance for your client.

Management of employees requires a lot of documentation, and because of the different conditions and capabilities of different clients, it often, leads to a never-ending, “chasing after”, and looking for documentation. Sometimes, when you get hold of the relevant document, the content is of such poor quality, that one must intervene, and start the whole process from scratch.

During the first part of 2021, my firm started implementing the COGS system with most of our clients.

What I love about the system, is that my consultants, and the relevant administrators of the system at my clients, have a centralised cloud-based database, where documents can be uploaded and accessed, as and when required.

The COGS system also promotes a standardised, “paperless” environment, and it gives real-time guidance to users on every level in every organisation.

I am excited to roll out some of the other functionalities, with regards to the communication and geo-location reporting, of the system in due course.
